I thought I would share a Monthly Mission News Letter!

50 BAPTISMS. 

Elders and Sisters of the great Ohio,

We as missionaries have come from many parts of the world; we have different talents, gifts, and abilities. We have different looks, opinions, and come from different life styles. We have went through life with different challenges, trails and experiences, but now as representatives of Jesus Christ we are united in a righteous cause, with one goal in mind, one purpose:                                                                                                                                 

 To invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. 

  

We devote 100% of our time and consecrate our efforts, to help save the souls of all men, women, and children. This is not only the desire of our hearts, but our Heavenly Fathers as well, from His own mouth he reveals: 

                                                

“For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."                                                                                                                       

Our will is aligned with his. We told him our desire, to help 50 of his children, in the month of October, to get on the path to reach exaltation.

“ For behold, thus said Jesus Christ, the Son of God……… Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature;”

We are commanded of our Lord to preach the gospel to all the world. And never, could a more clear promise have been made, then this promise, from the mouth of the Prophet Moroni:

“ Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.”                        

 We are Promised if we have faith and ask the Father in prayer, in the name of Christ, we can reach 50 baptisms in October, even 500 at the end of the year. Let our Heavenly Father hear our prayers, and see our faith through our efforts. There is no reason we can’t help 50 of our brothers and sisters partake of the purifying power of the atonement through baptism.                                                                              

• Write the goal of 50 baptisms down on a piece of paper and put it in your homes and cars so we can see it every day!!! 

• Make the decision now, that you are going to invite everyone you teach to be baptized, truly believing, doubting nothing, that they can.                                           

• Always be prepared, and have the courage to extend a date.

***THE DAYTON OHIO STAKE MISSIONARY FIRESIDE IN THE CENTERVILLE CHAPEL IS BEING CANCELLED IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THIS EVENT.

WHO EXACTLY IS MARVIN GOLDSTEIN AND VENESSA JOY???

WELL, WE WILL TELL YOU.......

MARVIN GOLDSTEIN IS A VERY ACCOMPLISHED CONCERT PIANIST, AND VENESSA JOY IS A PHENOMENAL SINGER

 BROTHER GOLDSTEIN BEGAN MUSICAL TRAINING AT AGE 9, AND BY 18 WAS AWARDED A MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP TO "TEL AVIV" UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC, TEL AVIV, ISRAEL. HE CONTINUED HIS FORMAL TRAINING AT THE FAMED "MOZARTEUM" OF SALZBURG, AUSTRIA AND COMPLETED HIS EDUCATION WITH BACHELOR AND MASTER OF MUSIC DEGREES AT FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY IN TALLAHASSE, FLORIDA. ON JUN 2, 1985, HE JOINED THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS. BROTHER GOLDSTEIN WAS JEWISH BEFORE HE JOINED THE LDS CHURCH. HE HAS SERVED IN SEVERAL CALLINGS IN THE LDS CHURCH, INCLUDING AS A MEMBER OF A HIGH COUNCIL AND A COUNSELOR IN A BISHOPRIC. HE HAS TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY, PERFORMING IN AND THROUGHOUT CANADA AND THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.

**MISSIONARIES:ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND IF.....THEY ARE ESCORTING AN INVESTIGATOR, 

NON-MEMBER OR A RECENT CONVERT.

LOVE

     HI.   Wonderful Elders and Sisters of the Great OCM, short and sweet.  We love you all so much, and so does our Heavenly Father.  We have embarked on an epic journey of momentous proportions. So, just what DOES that little word...LOVE...mean? 

   

In short...Jesus Christ.  

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.” The savior's life was a life of love.  Our love and desire is to "help others come unto Christ." As we truly love them, we will invite them to change, to come unto the savior, and be BAPTIZED.  That is BECAUSE we WANT them to be cleansed from their sins and be happy.

    We could expound, and exhort, and rise in great swelling words about baptism, and love, but we all know what's up. That's what it's all about. "No Christ, No Happiness. Know Christ, Know Happiness"   We love you, We love our brothers and sisters here in the Great Ohio Columbus Mission, we love our Savior and we love our Heavenly Father.   Let's go BAPTIZE some heathens!
