Brother and Sister Henke,

  I just wanted to let you know , that your son is working really hard on his mission.  He and his companion Elder Birch are two of the hardest working missionaries we have ever had in our area.  They are always out trying to reach more people, and coming up with new ways to teach them to help them understand.  Elder Henke's spirit is also very strong.  We have had the privilage to have the elders in our home many times and when he talks about the gospel you know that he knows what he is saying is true.  He truely cares about his investigators.  He is sad when they struggle and overjoyed when they make progress.  It is really fun to watch and it makes all of us in this branch so much stronger.  As you know he was able to baptize an 10 year old boy on Saturday.  It was so nice to see because my husband and daughter were able to go with them to many of the discussions and help out.  The elders are/were so patient with this boy and loving and put so much work into helping him understand his choice in wanting to get baptized.  This was a wonderful thing to watch my daughter go through.  She is so much stronger for it.  And then when Elder Henke actually did the baptism the spirit was very strong and everyone in that room knew that what that boy was doing was right.  That wouldn't have been able to happen if Elder Henke's spirit wasn't as strong as it is.  We really enjoy having your son in our area and thank you for teaching him the gospel and raising him right and then sending him to us so he can bless all our lives so much.
