Questions from Robert to his Dad:

So I’ve been wondering... in my studies it says that everyone in the first resurrection will be judged and then receive their glory.... but what about those who have been resurrected? Like Moroni? Do they have to wait to be judged as well? I didn't think there was a waiting period for those who have been resurrected to have to wait to be judged to receive the highest kingdom? Does that mean nobody even our savoir is in the celestial kingdom and if not... why did so many prophets see angels with god and Jesus? Or are those the spirits of the unborn?

How did Alma baptize? Did god send an angel to give him the priesthood?  If so... how come when he got with Mosiah, Mosiah gave him the power to ordain teachers and priest when he had done that just a little before?  Is it different? Like the higher priesthood? Was Alma ordained to be the new prophet while Mosiah was alive?  Because Mosiah had the gift of being a Seer... which means a prophet... so how?

Good questions:

For anyone resurrected their judgment is moved ahead so as soon as some were resurrected in Jesus’ time you can figure they've had their judgment, so in that sense the first resurrection has begun and the judgment as well.

Alma already was a priest although a not so righteous one under King Noah (kind of like the Jews at Jesus’ time where they had the lesser priesthood but they were corrupt.  Then later after Alma was authorized by Mosiah to start a church, the ordinances were redone. When we are baptized it's for remission of sins plus to be a member of the Church or in the case of the priesthood, to use it under the Church's jurisdiction.  Mosiah was a prophet, but he wasn't the President of the Church; he made Alma the President but Mosiah was still the presiding authority (a different set up than we have today)....actually at one time the Prophet Joseph Smith tried to move the Church to that kind of an organization. Hyrum would have been the prophet and Joseph the King and Priest like Mosiah, but the people couldn't accept it so he backed off....(it will probably be done that way at some time in the future).
